[+110] I think JYP changed their management style after what happened with Suzy. They seem to really hate the dominance of one member over all the popularity in a group. If you look at how they handled TWICE, ITZY, Stray Kids, and NMIXX, they limited individual promotions and short TV appearances only during their comebacks (and only as a whole group). Members rarely get any individual practice time (maybe Double, but it’s been around for years now). They only choose shows like ‘Iloa Bros’ where the whole group can be invited, which usually prioritizes CF and other promotional methods to avoid JYP in general. Come on, look at Yuna. Do you really think she didn’t get much CF value after that ‘U Go Girl’? I bet he got a lot of invitations from everywhere!!

NMXIX got a lot of hate because of the bad first song, and I think they don’t have the quality to be popular even though they come from a big branch. The first four sections are so large that it is easy to forget the other sections. There is no reason to worry about groups like ITZY. Now that it’s been five years, it won’t be long before their contracts expire.

Aside from Lia, ITZY may be the highest among all girl groups in terms of dance talent alone, but most girl groups only have one main dancer that makes them stand out. For all of them to be good enough to feel part of a dance team is better than an idol group. #4 they messed up at a bad time which doesn’t match TWICE in the third generation and not NMIXX in the fourth generation. They are only in generation 3.5 and they are alone. I don’t know if NMIXX started because of ITZY’s failure or JYP stopped caring about ITZY because of NMIXX’s start, but one thing is for sure, JYP failed both groups by not being able to divide their management between them.

[+10] JYP is no longer hiring domestically because of the fierce competition. They didn’t invest in local promotions for ITZY but TWICE, NMIXX, and Stray Kids. Korea has never done any tournaments, only international tournaments where the money is. This is what works for them, and this is what keeps JYP in the Big 4 all the time.
[+7] I remember thinking that Yeji was a refreshing sight with great dance skills when he first came out with ‘Dalla Dalla’… JYP is crazy that they can’t do more with such a talented group.
